Privacy Policy

How the current Osty App Store build handles your information.

This Privacy Policy explains how the current App Store build of Osty: Diary & Routines handles your information.

Effective date: April 10, 2026 No account, no cloud sync, no tracking

Summary

  • The current App Store build is local-first.
  • The current App Store build does not require account creation.
  • The current App Store build does not include sign-in or cloud sync.
  • Your diary notes, to-dos, moods, activities, and settings are stored locally on your device.
  • We do not use third-party advertising or tracking in the current App Store build.

Information stored on your device

The app stores the following information locally on your device so the app can function:

  • diary entries and attached local photos
  • to-do items
  • mood entries
  • activity records
  • habits and settings
  • local backup or export files that you choose to create
  • app lock preferences and local security state

This information remains on your device unless you choose to export or share it yourself.

Information not collected through the current App Store build

  • account registration
  • in-app sign-in
  • cloud sync
  • server-backed personal data storage
  • in-app analytics or advertising tracking

Because these features are not part of the shipping build, we do not collect app account data through them for this release.

In-app purchases

Osty Pro is offered as a one-time non-consumable in-app purchase through Apple.

  • Apple processes the payment transaction.
  • We do not receive your full payment card details.
  • The app reads local purchase entitlement status from Apple frameworks so it can unlock purchased features.

Support email

If you email us at privacy@ostyapp.com, we will receive the information you include in your message, such as your email address and any details you provide for support or privacy requests.

We use that information only to respond to your request and handle support.

Your choices

  • create and keep data only on your device
  • export your data
  • save a local backup file
  • restore from a local backup file
  • delete all local app data from within the app
  • remove the app from your device

Because the current App Store build does not create an in-app account, there is no in-app account deletion flow for this release.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy if app functionality changes in a future release. If sign-in, sync, or account-linked storage is added later, this policy will be updated before or with that release.
